COVID-19 VACCINES this Saturday, Aug. 28, 10am-2pm. Look for the KCMO Mobile Vaccine Unit in
front of the paddlewheel near the Farmers Market pavilions. No appointment or pre-registration is
necessary.

On Monday, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine received full approval from the U.S. Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) for individuals 16 years of age and older. The vaccine also continues to be
available, under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), for individuals 12 – 15 years of age and for the
administration of a third dose in certain immunocompromised individuals.

“City Market is focused on promoting overall wellness in our community especially during a time
when our local hospitals and healthcare workers are stressed,” Sue Patterson, Director of Marketing
and Communications said. “As a public gathering place, it’s intrinsic to our mission to provide
equitable access to essentials that support the health and wellbeing of our visitors whenever
possible.”

Anyone at least 12 years old regardless of residency is eligible to be vaccinated. Pfizer BioNTech,
Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson brand vaccines will be available. Second doses will be scheduled with
the KCMO Health Department COVIC Clinic. Those who are due for a second dose of Pfizer or Moderna
vaccine, please bring your vaccination card.
