“Asian Glow Fest KC is a first-of-its-kind experience for Kansas City that reflects vibrant global cultures that shape our city and market,” said Sue Patterson, Director of Marketing & Communications for City Market. “City Market has always been a place where food tells stories and brings people together. This event honors that legacy while inviting our community to experience Vietnamese and Southeast Asian traditions in a meaningful, joyful, and welcoming way.”
“City Market holds a special place in my heart and childhood,” said Ott Keung, organizer of Asian Glow Fest KC and co-founder of Saigon Night Market/Festive Fling LLC. “I spent time at City Market with my family, and bringing this event across the country to Kansas City is a way to honor those memories and pay tribute to my late father. Asian Glow Fest KC is about sharing the traditions, food, and sense of togetherness I grew up with, and I’m grateful to bring that experience back to a place that meant so much to my family.”
Guests can expect a festive atmosphere featuring street-food style vendors, cultural performances, and Asian-themed retail vendors in City Market’s outdoor setting. The event is free and open to the public, welcoming food lovers and visitors of all ages to experience a culturally rich weekend at City Market.
