(Kansas City, MO) – KC Commercial Realty Group and City Market are pleased to announce our newest restaurant, Tenderloin Grill, at 25 E. 3rd Street in the space formerly occupied by Taste of Brazil which has relocated just two doors away. After a soft opening during the NFL Draft weekend, the grand opening will be announced soon.

Tenderloin Grill has been making their legendary pork tenderloins with a secret recipe that has set the standard for tender lovers in Kansas City for nearly 90 years. Angel Hernandez along with Kenneth Kantner and Gregg Johnson of Minsky’s Pizza purchased the concept in 2021 and are excited to make a new home at City Market for this Kansas City institution. The three Tenderloin Grill partners are dedicated to continuing the time-tested taste experience and intend to keep growing the restaurant.

“With the City Market move, [Tenderloin Grill] has an opportunity to bring some great food a little closer to another very historic part of the city that has daytime activity on weekdays and weekends,” Kenneth Kantner said. “It’s a melting pot of residents, businesses, millennials, tourists, and cultures – and it’s a hungry group, as we have personally experienced with our Minsky’s Pizza location in the City Market.

Longtime Tenderloin Grill customers will find the same great tenders, burgers, hand-cut fries, line-up of craft sodas, and of course the TG sauce and secret-recipe hot sauce at the new location. A variety of cold beers and margaritas is also available.

“We’ve got some new menu items planned in addition to longtime favorites. A large “giant’ size tender is in the works, also an option for grilled tenders (in addition to the traditional fried tender),” Kantner said. “We’re working on some new house-made sauces and planning frozen adult beverages for the summer months.”

Tenderloin Grill is open Tuesday through Thursday 10:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Friday through Sunday 10:45 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Closed Monday. For more information, visit https://thecitymarketkc.org/tenderloin-grill/.
