Our Story
KC Soda Co. opened in early 2015 with the goal of offering one of the largest selections of soda available anywhere. Along with its sister store in Lawrence, Kansas, the business built relationships with soda producers around the world to bring hundreds of unique flavors to Kansas City.
Over time, KC Soda Co. expanded beyond retail sales and now distributes soda to restaurants and shops throughout Kansas City, Lawrence, Topeka, and other nearby communities. The company also ships soda nationwide through its online store and continues to search for new and unusual varieties to add to its collection.

Root Beer Keg Rentals
KC Soda Co. offers root beer keg rentals, making it a unique option for parties, celebrations, and special events in the Kansas City area. The shop is currently the only retailer in the Kansas City metro offering this type of rental.
Available keg sizes include:
- 1/6 Barrel – 5.16 gallons (about 55 twelve-ounce pours)
- 1/4 Barrel – 7.75 gallons (about 83 twelve-ounce pours)
A refundable deposit is required for both the keg and tap system. Because supply is limited, customers are encouraged to reserve kegs well in advance, especially during busy seasons such as graduation events and Father’s Day.
