Our Story

The Hungry Hatch began in 2018 as a food truck concept focused on providing healthier street food options in Kansas City. The founder, who previously worked as a Technology Integration Specialist, developed the idea after spending time working on another food truck and seeing a gap in healthy food options at local events.

After launching the food truck, the business quickly grew, serving more than 100 events in its first season. The concept later expanded into a brick-and-mortar presence in downtown Kansas City, allowing for menu growth and a larger customer base.

Following operational challenges during COVID, The Hungry Hatch transitioned to its current location in City Market, where it continues to operate alongside its food truck roots.
