Located at 307 Main Street in City Market, Murmuration adjoins the coffee shop as a shared space expected to open with a soft launch Thursday, March 27, and will bring an elevated and welcoming breakfast, lunch, and cocktail experience to the City Market and River Market neighborhood.

Fans of City Market Coffee Roasters will also enjoy a full cocktail menu and a carefully curated selection of mocktails.

The restaurant’s name, Murmuration, is inspired by the mesmerizing movement of birds in flight—symbolizing unity, intuition, and the power of community. Nikole Ammer has personally done the interior finish work; her labor of love has created a warm and inviting space that features a rich copper ceiling, intricate tile work, and patina accents throughout. Patrons will be awestruck by a hand-painted mural that wraps the space from floor to ceiling. Local artist Emily Alvarez masterfully depicts a tableau of native Missouri birds—a visual representation of the beauty and diversity of both nature and the community.

Guests will enjoy a seamless experience between Murmuration and City Market Coffee, with one central ordering system and the ability to sit anywhere within the shared space. A text notification system will allow customers to roam and enjoy the market while waiting for their order.
