This transformative project invites professional real estate developers to submit innovative mixed-use proposals that will enhance the vibrancy of City Market while respecting its historic significance within the community as a public market and tourist destination.

City Market has been a cornerstone of Kansas City for more than 165 years, offering a dynamic marketplace for local entrepreneurs, farmers, and artisans. The redevelopment of the Steamboat Arabia Museum site presents a unique opportunity to integrate new retail spaces, a boutique hotel, and essential parking facilities, all while maintaining the market’s unique charm.
