We are located in the River Market neighborhood, just north of downtown Kansas City — about 15 minutes from major hotels in the city center.
Parking
Free Parking (Weekdays) Free 2-hour parking is available in City Market Square on weekdays.
Free Parking (Weekends) Free parking is available at 7th & Main on Saturdays and Sundays — a short walk or one free stop on the KC Streetcar.
Premium Parking Paid parking is available in lots adjacent to City Market on weekends. Visit lazparking.com for rates and reservations.
EV Charging Electric vehicle charging stations are available in the parking lot at 4th & Grand.
Please note: City Market cannot accommodate RVs or buses.
KC Streetcar — Free Transit
The KC Streetcar is free for all riders and connects City Market to the downtown entertainment district, the Kansas City Convention Center, and major hotels. It runs daily.

City Market is Kansas City’s oldest and most historic marketplace. Here you will find:

FAQ’s
Do I need cash?
Most shops and restaurants accept credit and debit cards. Some Farmers Market vendors are cash-only. There is an ATM in the northeast corner of City Market Square.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs and other animals are not permitted in shops, restaurants, or common areas including the Farmers Market. Dogs are welcome at City Market Park at 3rd & Main.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not permitted inside buildings, walkways, or common areas.
Is City Market wheelchair accessible?
Most buildings and areas are accessible. If you have specific accessibility questions, contact us at 816.842.1271.
Is there free Wi-Fi?
Yes — free Wi-Fi is available via KCFreePublicWi-Fi throughout the market area.
Is there luggage storage?
City Market does not offer luggage storage. We recommend checking with your hotel’s concierge.
