Street food aromas, live performances, shopping, and the energy of a Southeast Asian night market—Asian Glow Fest KC is debuting at City Market.

Produced in partnership with Saigon Night Market, this two-day cultural celebration invites visitors to experience the sights, sounds, and flavors inspired by traditional night markets found across Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Expect a lively atmosphere filled with Asian street food, artisan and retail vendors, music, lion dance performances, and plenty of reasons to linger, explore, and celebrate together.

Set against the historic backdrop of City Market, Asian Glow Fest KC is designed as an immersive, welcoming experience for all ages—whether you’re coming for dinner, shopping with friends, or spending the day at the Farmers Market and staying into the evening.

Winter weekends are easy — and anything but boring — at City Market. Every Saturday in January and February, our iconic Farmers Market teams up with the River Market Flea to bring you a warm, indoor shopping experience packed with fresh food, vintage finds, and local flavor.

Shop inside our lightly heated, enclosed pavilions and explore an unbeatable mix of essentials and treasures. Whether you’re filling your pantry, refreshing your home, or hunting for a one-of-a-kind find, City Market is your go-to winter destination.

Known for hosting premier local artisan events, Art Garden KC brings together a diverse lineup of more than 75 talented makers to help you find truly unique, handcrafted holiday gifts.

Embrace the spirit of the season as you browse local goods, connect with artisans, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere that only a community-centered marketplace can offer.

COATS & KINDNESS WARM-UP DRIVE AT MERRY MARKET

The spirit of giving will take center stage this holiday season as River Market Flea hosts the Coats & Kindness Warm-Up Drive during Merry Market.

This heartwarming event invites the community to drop off new or gently used winter coats to help families and individuals in need. Donations will be distributed to local charitable organizations, ensuring warmth and comfort for our neighbors during the cold months ahead.

“Coats & Kindness is about more than donating coats—it’s about fostering a sense of community and support,” said Danni Vejar, representative for River Market Flea. “We’re excited to host this event at Merry Market, where locals come together to celebrate the season and make a positive impact.”

In addition to the coat drive, visitors can enjoy the vibrant Merry Market, featuring:

• More than 75 local artisans and vendors curated by Art Garden KC, offering handcrafted holiday gifts.
• Festive bites and seasonal drinks.
• Live entertainment to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

Admission is FREE, and all ages are welcome!
